Sending SMS from Gmail

I have completely adopted browser based email (not using an email client). Mostly for performance reasons, since the local email client spent enormous amount of time indexing messages. For my delight, I had a satisfying experience today with sending SMS via Gmail. Excellent tool. You need to know that to avoid spam, Google has created this scheme that you have a certain number of allowed SMS you can send without a reply. And in order to get a reply, you need to keep the chat window open - meaning this is a true 'chat session', which the identity is used by the receiver to send back a reply.
